- To import practical exposure to the Machine tools
- To conduct experiments and understand the working of the same.

- Introduction of general purpose machines -Lathe, Drilling machine, Milling machine, Shaper
- Planing machine, slotting machine, Cylindrical Grinder, surface grinder and tool and cutter grinder
- Step turning and taper turning on lathe machine
- Thread cutting and knurling on -lathe machine
- Drilling and Tapping
- Shaping and Planning
- Slotting
- Milling
- Cylindrical Surface Grinding
- Grinding of Tool angles
