Gate 2019 Eligibility M.Tech for VTU Belgaum

Gate qualified candidates from Engineering and Technology are eligible to take admission various to M.Tech programme, VTU Belgaum.

Candidates who has get valid score in Gate are given first preference for admission in various courses M.E / M.Tech / M.Arch.

Candidates with valid Gate  score need not to appear for PGCET 2019.

Therefore the candidates who qualified in Gate they have to take admission through online.

If there is no candidates are available who qualified  Gate the Seat allotment will be made to non Gate candidates based on the merit of PGCET 2019.

The candidates make sure that they have valid qualifying marks in Gate in respective subjects under the category which they belong (GM/OBC/SC/ST/PD)

Those who not have qualifying marks they have to appear for PGCET 2019 examination.

Category (GM/OBC/SC/ST/PD) is applicable to person of Karnataka origin only.

VTU, UBDT and UVCE are offering more than 100 programs in M.E /M.Tech in different disciplines with 04 M.Arch programs and 1 MBA Infrastructure Management.

Candidates who are qualified in the final examination with B.E / B.Tech / B.Arch Degree or its equivalent from the recognised university are eligible to apply M.E / M.Tech /M.Arch courses.

Non Gate candidate seeking admission to any of these courses, as per the schedule they should appear PGCET 2019 test under appropriate board corresponding to their basic qualifying or qualified degree, irrespective of M.E / M.Tech / M.Arch courses for which the candidate is eligible.

B.Sc degree candidates from recognised university with Mathematics as one of the subjects or B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc engineering are eligible for M.Tech programme offered by Department of Post Graduate Studies and Research in Mathematics and Computer Science of Kuvempu University.

B.E / B.Tech and M.Sc degree candidates with conditions specified under detailed eligibility criteria from recognised Universities are eligible for Department of Studies in Computer Science, University of Mysore, Mysore.

As per the schedule a non-Gate candidate seeking admission to the M.Tech program should appear for PGCET 2019.

Therefore the sponsored candidates should claim seat under sponsored quota, they are notĀ entitled for claim seat under any other quota.

M.Tech part time program shall be conducted only if number of candidates admitted is eight or more.

Sponsored Candidates:

A candidate having full time employee for a minimum period of three years either continuously or in broken periods.

Experience in the relevant field from registered firm / company / industry / educational institution / research institution / Government Department / Autonomous department or autonomous organisation is considered, after the qualifying examination till the date of notification.

However candidate has to submit an undertaking letter saying that the candidate is the full time employee from the employer. Candidate will not be withdrawn from the course till the completion of the course.

Part time / Trainee / Guest faculty will not be considered as a sponsored candidate.
