Module-1

FUNDAMENTALS OF NANOSENSOR DEVICES Micro and nano-sensors, biosensor. Thermal energy sensors: temperature sensors, heat sensors, electromagnetic sensors, electrical resistance sensors, electrical current sensors, electrical voltage sensors, electrical power sensors, magnetic sensors, Mechanical sensors, pressure sensors, gas and liquid flow sensors, position sensors, chemical sensors, optical and radiation sensors- gas sensor.

Module-2

NANO BASED INORGANIC SENSOR DEVICES Density of states (DOS) – DOS of 3D, 2D, 1D and 0D materials, one dimensional gas sensors:- gas sensing with nanostructured thin films, absorption on surfaces, metal oxide modifications by additives, surface modifications, Nano optical sensors, nano mechanical sensors, plasmon resonance sensors with nano particles.

Question Paper Pattern:

  • The question paper will have ten full questions carrying equal marks. Each full question consisting of 16 marks.
  • There will be two full questions (with a maximum of four sub questions) from each module.
  • Each full question will have sub question covering all the topics under a module.
