Course Outcomes:

At the end of the course, the student will be able to

  • Apply computer aided drafting tools to create 2D and 3D objects
  • sketch conics and different types of solids
  • Appreciate the need of Sectional views of solids and Development of surfaces of solids
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Conversion of orthographic projection into isometric view and vice versa manually and by using computer aided drafting

Introduction to Engineering Graphics: Principles of Engineering Graphics and their Significance, Scales – Plain and Diagonal, Conic Sections including the Rectangular Hyperbola – General method only. Cycloid, Epicycloid and Hypocycloid, Introduction to Computer aided drafting – views, commands and conics
