MHT CET 2020 for admission in Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in Engineering, Pharmacy and Agriculture for academic year 2020-21. MHT-CET 2020 is a Online Exam CBT (Computer Based Test)

Admission to first year of four year full time degree courses in engineering and technology, pharmacy and first year of six year full time degree course in Pharm.D for academic year 2020-21.

MHT CET 2020 Eligibility of Engineering & Pharmacy

  • The candidate should be a citizen of India.
  • There is no age limit to appear in MHT CET 2020.
  • Candidate must have passed HSC/class XII exam or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with any one of the subjects – Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical/Vocational subjects.
  • Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination (HSC/XII) in 2020 are considered eligible.
  • Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks (for General Category) and at least 45% marks (for reserved category and Persons with Disability candidates) in aggregate of 5 subjects.
MHT CET 2020 Eligibility of Engineering Technology & Pharmacy
TypeEligibility Criterion
Type A(i) Candidates passing SSC and also HSC or Diploma in Engineering or Bachelor of Science Examination from a recognized institution in Maharashtra State;
(ii) Candidate who is either Domicile of Maharashtra and/ or is born in Maharashtra;
Type BA Candidate who does not fall in Type-A above, but who or whose Father or Mother is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra and possess Domicile Certificate.
Type CA Candidate who does not fall in either Type-A or Type-B but whose Father or Mother is an employee of the Government of India or Government of India Undertaking and who has been posted and reported to duty in Maharashtra State before the last date for submission of Application Form for CAP.
Type DA Candidate who does not fall in any of the above Type-A, Type B and Type-C but whose Father or Mother is an employee or retired employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking.
Type ECandidates passing SSC and/or HSC Examination from a recognised institution located in a disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area and whose Mother tongue is Marathi.
Candidate of NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National – These types of Candidature Candidates are exempted from appearing for MHT-CET 2020.
  • It is mandatory to appear for MHT-CET 2020 for candidates belonging to Maharashtra State Candidature, Minority Candidature seeking admission to B.E./B.Tech. However All India Candidature candidates may or may not appear for MHT-CET 2020 as Score of JEE(Main) shall be preferred over MHT-CET 2020 for admission to B.E./B.Tech.
  • It is mandatory to appear for MHT-CET 2020 for candidates belonging to Maharashtra State Candidature, Minority Candidature All India Candidature seeking admission to B. Pharm. / Pharm. D.
MHT-CET 2020 Instructions to the candidates appearing for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) Group
  • The On Line Question Paper will contain Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with Four options (answers) for each question.
  • Each question will have Four alternatives (answers) out of which only one alternative/answer will be the correct.
  • Physics, Chemistry subjects will have 1 mark for each question and Mathematics subject will have 2 marks for each question.
  • Total duration for the MHT-CET Examination is 180 Minutes in which the Candidate has to solve 150 questions.
  • There is no Negative Marking.
  • The Questions will be displayed on the computer screen one at a time. Candidates are advised not to spend too much time on any particular question.
  • Questions will be available in English/Urdu/Marathi languages. However, Question Paper in Urdu & Marathi will only be available to the candidates who have opted for that particular language/medium as preferred Language for Question Paper in the on line CET Application form.
  • Candidates referring to Marathi and Urdu version of the Question paper should take a note of the fact that they should refer to the Original English Version In Case of Doubt.
  • In case of any dispute regarding the question, the Original English version will be considered as Final.
