Course Objectives:
- To impart knowledge on the testing of resins
- To familiarize water analysis and predict water quality
- To provide knowledge on monitoring air quality and analyse effluent from paper mills
Course Outcomes:
On completion of the course, the student will be able to:

Module 1:
- Laboratory preparation of UF, PF resins
- To determine the 1.solid content 2. water tolerance 3.pH of resin
- Estimation of phenol & formaldehyde
Module 2:
- Deduce the pH value of water by pH meter and turbidity in a given water sample
- Determination of hardness of water(EDTA method)
- Determination of acidity of water
- Determination of alkalinity of water
- Determination of chlorine
Module 3:
- Determination of Total solids, dissolved solids & suspended solids
- Determination of Dissolved oxygen
- Determination of BOD
- Determination of COD
Module 4:
- Estimate the amount of particulate and gaseous matter in ambient air
