On completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- Practice mastication and mixing of NR
- Practice compounding of synthetic rubbers
- Practice Compression moulding, extrusion and calendering processes.
Module 1:
- Identify the processing machineries mixing mill screw press and hydraulic press
- Practice mastication of NR in a lab size mixing mill
- Demonstrate blending of NR with SR
- Prepare NR gum compound
- Prepare NR masterbatch with carbon black
- Prepare NR masterbatch with clay or whiting as filler
- Prepare NR compound with black filler
- Practice compounding of NR with non black filler
