No separate application form for admission is prescribed for Candidates desirous of seeking admission into Engineering (or) Non – Engineering Diploma courses offered by Polytechnics.
The Candidates seeking admission into the Diploma in Pharmacy & Hotel Management and Catering Technology have to apply through DOST-2024 for which the entry qualification is 10 + 2, need not appear POLYCET– 2024.

TS POLYCET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate shall be an Indian National.
- Candidate should belong to the State of Telangana /Andhra Pradesh as defined in G.O.(P).No. 646, Education (W) Dept., dated 10-07-1979 and in the subsequent amendments.
- Candidates should have passed S.S.C. Examination conducted by State Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh/Telangana or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Secondary Education, A.P/TS. X class examination conducted by various State Boards of Secondary Education in India with Mathematics as one of the subjects, and obtained atleast 35% marks in the qualifying examination.
- Candidates belonging to NIOS/TOSS/APOSS/CBSE/ICSE/OTHER Examinations recognized as equivalent to SSC by Telangana State Should have Passed all the Subjects including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, with minimum of 35% Marks in each subject.
- Candidates who appeared or are appearing for SSC or equivalent examination being held in March/April-20224, and whose results are yet to be declared can also appear for POLYCET-2024.
- There is no age restriction for appearing for POLYCET-2024. However maximum eligible age for obtaining a scholarship, the guidelines issued in Memo.
State Board of Technical Education & Training, Hyd has made arrangements to fill online applications at various AP Online centers with the examination fee of Rs/ 400 and for SC/ST candidates Rs 250/

Guidelines to Fill in the Application form
- First fill the 10th Class Hall ticket No., Year of the pass, and Date of Birth.
- Fill your name as per school records with one letter for each box. Leave a gap between parts of your name.
- Fill your father’s name
- Fill in your date of birth in DD MM YYYY [Date /Month/Year] format.
- Fill in your address details (House number, Village/street, Mandal /town/city, District, PIN code, Mobile number) for correspondence
- Fill in the place where you would like to appear for the examination. Refer to the table of examination/ helpline centers
- Enter the area code to which you are local to Telangana
- Enter your reservation category (BC/SC/ST)
- Enter your special category, if any (CAP/SP/PH/NCC).
- Fill in minority community details (other than Hindu) as entered in your school records
- Fill in your willingness to appear the examination in Urdu medium. Examination in Urdu medium will be conducted only at Hyderabad center.
- Fill in the Aadhaar UID Number.
- Sign the declaration with regard to your physical fitness to pursue the Polytechnic Courses.
- Apply online at with online payment option (or) TS online with a cash payment of Rs. 400/- For SC/ST Candidates Rs. 250/-.

TS POLYCET 2024 Paper Pattern
The question paper for the Common Entrance Test for Admission into Polytechnics consists of 120 Questions.

All questions are of multiple-choice type.
Each question will have a stem and four answers noted against as 1,2,3 and 4. Out of these four, only one is an appropriate answer to the statement given in stem and the other three are distractors.
Two separate Ranks will be generated for each candidate through POLYCET for Admissions into Polytechnics and Admissions into Agricultural Diplomas as per the following criteria
- For Admission into Polytechnics the ranking will be based on the marks scored in Maths (60 marks) + Physics (30 Marks) + Chemistry (30 Marks) put together for maximum marks of 120.
- For Admission into Agricultural Polytechnics the ranking will be based on the marks scored in Maths (60/2=30 Marks) + Physics (30 Marks) + Chemistry (30 Marks) + Biology (30) Marks put together for maximum marks of 120.
