M.Tech. I Year I Sem.

Course Objective: To impart knowledge on statistical tools, linear and dynamic programming.

Course Outcomes: The learner will be able to use effectively different decision making theories and PERT/CPM techniques.

UNIT-I : Introduction and concepts of probability and statistics-Probability theory-Statistical tools.

UNIT-II : Linear programming Transportation and assignment problems.

UNIT-III : Dynamic programming, Queuing theory, Decision theory, Games theory.

UNIT-IV : Simulations applied to construction, Study of various effects.

UNIT-V : Modifications and improvement on CPM/PERT techniques.
