- Identification and distinguishing characteristics of important igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks.
- Determination of strike and dip of planar features using /brunton compass.
- Study of models pertaining to folds, faults, and unconformities.
- Study and interpretation of Topographic Maps.
- Study of Geological Maps of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, & India.
- Study of Geomorphologic Map of India and Tectonic Map of India.
- Study of Seismo-tectonic Atlas of India.
- Vertical Electrical sounding Survey to determine depth to water table & bed rock.
- Determination of unconfined compressive strength of important rocks
