For gate preparation if u do sincerely study for 4 to 5 months u can crack with good marks.first see last 15 years question.analyse the pattern difficulty level.then chose standard book to start preparation.now a days formula based question are coming more.so I have to learn end results.daily solve 20 to 30 questions.if I do I am sure I will be Im top.understand the first concepts.

Usually B.Tech marks are counted not Madhymik/H.S for admission into IITs.
