Course Outcomes:
After studying this course, students will be able to:
- Sketch the typical instrumentation and control strategy in the process industries like paper, pulp, cement, power and steel plants.
- List the variable to be monitored and controlled in the above said process industries.
- Describe the instrumentation, control requirements and complete functioning of the above said industries.
- Analyze the hardware and software tools required for the above said process industries.
- Design and develop instrumentation and control strategy for simple process industry.
Question paper pattern:
- The question paper will have TEN questions.
- Each full question carry 16 marks
- There will be TWO full questions (with maximum of THREE sub questions) from each module.
- Each full question will have sub questions covering all the topics under a module.
- The students will have to answer FIVE full questions, selecting ONE full question from each module.
