Course Objectives:

Students will be able to

  • understand basic structure of computers, machine instructions and programs, different addressing modes, output operations, Stacks and Queues, Subroutines and Additional Instructions, IEEE standard for Floating point Numbers.
  • Understand the accessing of I/O Devices, Interrupts, Direct Memory Access, Busses, Interface Circuits, and Standard I/O Devices. � Gain the concepts of Semiconductor RAM Memories, Read Only Memories, Cache Memories, Performance Considerations and Virtual Memories.

Course Outcomes:

On completion of the course the student will
