Module-1

Introduction: Definition of project, History of Project Management, Understanding projects, Project roles. Project Selection and Prioritization – Strategic planning process, portfolio alignment, securing and negotiating projects.

Module-2

Organizational capability: Types of organizational structures, organizational culture and its impact on projects, project life cycles, project executive roles, project management roles, project team roles. Planning Projects: Defining the project scope, scope planning, collect requirements, Project scope checklist, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS, establish change control.

Module-4

Project Risk Planning: Risk Management Planning, risk identification, risk analysis, risk response planning Leading and managing project teams: Acquiring the project team, developing the project team, managing and leading the project team, managing stakeholders expectations, managing project conflicts.

Question Paper Pattern:

  • The question paper will have ten full questions carrying equal marks.
  • Each full question will be for 20 marks.
  • There will be two full questions (with a maximum of four sub- questions) from each module.
  • Each full question will have sub- question covering all the topics under a module.
  • The students will have to answer five full questions, selecting one full question from each module.
