UNIT-I: SAMPLING AND MOISTURE RELATIONS 10Hrs
Introduction: Objects of Testing, Sampling: Terms, Methods of sampling for testing, Squaring and cut squaring techniques, zoning technique, Dye sampling technique, Core sampling, Tongue sampling. Yarn sampling technique: Random Numbers, . Fabric Sampling.
Moisture relations: Importance, Terms, Regain -Humidity Relations, Measurement of the Humidity and Moisture Content: Wet and dry bulb Hygrometer, Thermo hygrrograph-Conditioning Oven, Electric and electronic moisture meters.
UNIT-II: FIBRE DIMENSIONS 10Hrs
