Placement of Microphones for different instruments, Phasing of microphones, General rules pertaining to placement of microphones for dialogue recording, Music recording, sound effects. selection of Microphone

UNIT-II Surround Sound System

Three-Channel (3.0) Stereo, Four-Channel Surround (3.1 Stereo) ,Purpose of four-channel systems, Loudspeaker configuration, Limitations of four-channel reproduction,5.1-Channel Surround (3.2 Stereo),Purpose of 5.1-channel systems, International standards and configurations, The LFE channel and use of subwoofers, Limitations of 5.1-channel reproduction, Signal levels in 5.1 surround, Other Multichannel Configurations-7.1-channel surrounds, 10.2-channel surrounds,
