UNIT I : CLASSIFICATION OF WEB OFFSET PRESSES, PRINTING UNIT CONSTRUCTION 07 HRS

Different types of web offset Presses, Terminologies used in the Web offset Press room. In feed, delivery, folders, gear side, operator’s side, printing couple, printing unit, perfecting press, inline press, and Common impression cylinder. Construction of the Printing Unit, Plate cylinder, Blanket cylinder, Impression cylinders, bearers, bearer drive, gear drive, under cut, packing, Blanket packing, Types of Blankets.

UNIT II: INKING AND DAMPENING SYSTEMS 12 HRS
