UNIT IV INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTER TO PLATE 14Hrs
Introduction- computer, Imaging system, printing plate.
Design principals- External, Internal drum design, Flat-bed design.
Imaging methods- Laser imaging, Imaging with U.V. light, Ink jet imaging, punching.
Printing plate for digital imaging- Electro photographic CTP PLATES, Aluminium based printing plates, Thermal sensitive plates, Paper and Polyester plates for offset printing.
Raster Image Processor -RIP Structure and function. Work flow chart, Types of imposition program and Imposition through software.
