UNIT-1: KNOW THE INITIAL DEVELOPMENTS OF MINING
- Classify mining methods- surface and underground mining.
- Describe the advantages and disadvantages of open cast and underground mines.
- Explain different mining terms used in underground mines.
- Explain different shapes of shafts – Rectangular, square, circular, Elliptical and their relative advantages and disadvantages.
