Course Objectives:

  1. Now a day a manual drafting is obsolete in industry. Computers being the inevitable part in an engineer’s life due to its inbuilt characteristics which helps him to do various task with acceleration.
  2. Using computers and CAD software it is easy to create and modify drawings ultimately it saves time. It also may be useful to generate assembly and manufacturing drawings.

Course Outcomes:

  1. CO1 Interpret and Draw, edit and modify 2D, Give dimensions, tolerances and geometrical tolerances.
  2. CO2 Create Isometric Views and 3 D drawing ,when orthographic views of simple machine parts and 2D assembly of machine component.

Fasteners – square and hexagonal Bolt & Nut, Sketch the rivet and riveting joints- single riveted lap joint, double riveted butt joint single cover double cover plate- chain and zig – zag arrangement.

Isometric Projections (15 Hour)

Principles of Isometric projection – Isometric scale – Isometric views of simple solids -cube, prisms, pyramids, cylinder and cone – Conversion of orthographic views into isometric View of Simple Machine Components.

  3. Execution with result(Unit-I 5marks+Unit-II 10 marks. 15

Note:

  1. Candidate shall submit Lab Record for the Examination.
  2. Student should be allowed to execute directly even if she / he unable to write the procedure
  3. In case of change in experiment or no write up, marks will not be awarded for writing procedure/steps.
