UNIT-I AN OVERVIEW OF BY-PRODUCTS 10 Hrs

Introduction – Animal By-products: its Nature, Composition, Uses & its Benefits – Various sources of raw materials for Animal By-products – Importance of Slaughter House -Collection, Processing & Utilization of Animal By-products – Conventional method of processing of Animal By-products- Emerging Trends of processing of Animal By-products – Utilization of Offal & Condemned materials – Fallen Carcass & its utility – By-Products of Cattle, its End Products, Uses & related Industries – By-Products of Goat/Sheep, its End-Products, Uses & related Industries -Animal By-Products as Stock-Feed – Planning of a By-product plant.
