Note: The following activities or similar activities for assessing CIE (IA) for 5 marks (Any one)
- Each student should do any one of the following type activity or any other similar activity related to the course and before conduction, get it approved from concerned Teacher and HOD.
- Each student should conduct different activity and no repeating should occur
- Collect the different types of tanned leather and make a report on the basis of the physical properties of the leather samples in handwritten form in 2 to 3 pages.
- Visit the nearest tannery. Observe the various mechanical operations done on leather processing. Make a report on the significance of these operations in handwritten form in 2-3 pages.
- Collect the various types of leather like shoe upper leather, upholstery leather, garment leather, glove leather, etc. and by manual observation compare the properties on the basis of the degree of neutralization.
- Collect the information about manufacturing of heavy leather and make a report about the drawbacks in detail in 2-3 pages in hand written form.
