1. Introduction:

Definition of health and sanitation, Importance of sanitation-Activities involved in Sanitation, Public health works.

Communicable diseases:
Definitions- epidemic, endemic, epizootic, channel of infection, Vehicle of infection, Incubation period, Disease communicated by intestinal discharge. Typhoid fever transmission & prevention. Hook worm disease transmission & prevention, Disease communicated by nose and throat discharges. Tuberculosis -Mode of transmission & its control. 1. Each student should do any one of the following type activity or any other similar activity related to the course and before conduction, get it approved from concerned course coordinator and program coordinator.
2. Each student should conclude the selected activity through presentation & Seminar.

3. Visit to nearby factory identify the hazards from various sources and occupational disease

5. Visit to Health department and prepare a report on measures to be taken to prevent the occurrence of epidemics.
6. Visit to a Veterinary hospital to collect the information about disease of animals transmitted to human beings.
