Unit I : Fundamentals of Robot 8 hours

Definition of Robot, Difference between a robot and. an automated machine Advantages and Disadvantages of Robots . Physical configuration-Cartesian, Polar, Cylindrical and Jointed arm robot . Six basic motions of Robot or Six degrees of freedom . Factors for Selection of a robot

  • Do Market survey on different types of Robots available in the market and collect the following information like name, specifications, Price, applications etc. The student should submit a handwritten report. Documents have to be maintained as a record.
