- Do Market survey on LVDT, Strain guage, resistive, capacitive transducers available in the market and collect the following information like make, specifications, Price etc. The student should submit a handwritten report. Documents have to be maintained as a record.
- Take Quiz tests / assignments on Lab experiments. Documents have to be maintained as a record.
- Do a power point presentation on the various parameters monitored in Industrial Instrumentation environment. Documents have to be maintained as a record.
- Visit YouTube sites relevant to topics on measurements in Industrial Instrumentation. Listen to the lectures and submit a handwritten report or soft copy (CD/DVD)
- Draw a control panel and indicate the meters. Highlight the importance of Control room in Industrial environment monitoring a process. Submit a report

The student should perform any one of the below mentioned activities
- Visit any mechanical department lab and study the working of venturi meter/orifice meter/Rota-meter/Viscometer and submit a hand written report
- Visit the Electrical department lab and study the working of various measuring Instruments and submit a handwritten report
- Visit Civil department lab and study the working of various measuring instruments and submit a handwritten report
- Visit a nearby process Instrumentation Industry and submit a handwritten report on the process and safety procedures followed
