UNIT I:- BASICS OF OP AMPs

Introduction, Definition and block diagram of OP AMP, Schematic symbol, Integrated circuits and types, Manufacturer’s designations for ICs, Electrical characteristics of ideal OP AMP, Pin diagram, Practical OP AMP, definition of OP AMP parameters:- Input offset voltage, output offset voltage, Input bias current, Input offset current, PSRR, CMRR, Input impedance, output impedance, slew rate, gain bandwidth, 11 Hours

UNIT II:- OP AMP CIRUCITS AND ITS APPLICATIONS

Example 1

  1. Do Market survey on List of Linear ICs available in the market and collect the following information like name of the component, comparisons, specifications, Price etc. The student should submit a handwritten report. Documents have to be maintained as a record.
  2. Take Quiz tests / assignments in Operational amplifiers. Documents have to be maintained as a record.
  3. Do a power point presentation on current topics in Operational amplifiers circuits. Documents have to be maintained as a record.
  4. Visit YouTube or any other sites on current topics in Operational amplifiers. Listen to the lectures and submit a handwritten report and a soft copy (CD/DVD)

Example 2

  1. Construct a 12V regulator circuit
  2. Construct a circuit using IC 555 timer to generate square wave
  3. Construct a Instrumentation amplifier circuit and mention its applications
  4. Construct a Band reject filter and compare with Band pass filter
