UNIT-I: Introduction to Light:
Basic properties of Light: Electromagnetic spectrum , Absorption, Reflection, Refraction, Transmission .Quality of light , Attributes of light – quantity – foot candles – quality – colour quality – Colour temperature , Colour: perception, Primary and Complimentary colour, properties, Comparison between Eye & Brain combination and Camera and Film combination – the concept of photography as painting with light.
