Process variable – static and dynamic characteristics of process instruments -measurement of temperature-different types of thermometers – bimetallic thermometer, industrial thermometer, mercury-in-glass thermometer, resistance ,thermocouples, radiation pyrometer, optical pyrometer- principles involved -working. Instruments used for pressure measurement – bourdon gauge – Bellows-Diaphragms – Vacuum measuring instruments- pirani gauge
