2. MANURES, FERTILISERS&BIO-FERTILISER

Manures-classification, characteristics of organic manures, FYM, factors affecting the composition of manures. Green manuring- types, advantages, & disadvantages of green manuring. Note: the following activities or similar activities for assessing CIE (IA) for 5 marks (Any one)

  1. Discuss crop water requirements, and thereby gain an understanding of how much water different crops need and what affects the need of water by plants.
  2. Collection of diseased plant part and prepare the herbarium for the specimen.
  3. Field survey in the surrounding village and listing of an farm activities.
  4. Interactive session with farmers using visual aids, posters &,charts etc.
  5. Analyze the farming year and identify problems and constraints encountered throughout the year. also try to identify the underlying cause of these problems
  6. Identify and produce a list of measurable indicators to be used to monitor on-farm testing. Also determine how the data will be kept and presented.
  7. Ask to visit to any nearby water shed & make a report on it about 500 words
