NOTE<\/h4>\n

Four week structured and supervised branch specific, task oriented industrial\/field exposure
\nto be organised after IV Semester. Student will submit a report. There will be 60
\nmarks for this exposure. These marks will be awarded by the project examinier in final
\nyear (Examination Marks :40, Sessional Marks: 20).\n<\/p>\n

FIELD EXPOSURE – II<\/h4>\n

After second exam. in the summer vacation students of
\nmechanical Engg. will have a four week Industrial Training in
\nunits not less than small scale industries. It should preferably
\nbe arranged in manufacturing (producing machines, equipments or
\ntheir parts), structural or processing organisations. They will
\nwork and focus their attention there on following points to
\nincorporate them in their reports.<\/p>\n

  2. Date of<\/li>\n

    1. Joining.<\/li>\n
    2. Leaving.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
    3. Nature of Industry<\/li>\n
        \n
      1. Product.<\/li>\n
      2. Services.<\/li>\n
      3. Working Hrs.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
      4. Sections of the unit visited and activities there in.<\/li>\n
      5. Details of machines\/Tools & instruments used in working in the section of the unit visited.<\/li>\n
      6. Work procedure in the section visited.<\/li>\n
      7. Specifications of the product of the section and materials used.<\/li>\n
      8. Work of repair and maintenance cell.<\/li>\n
      9. Details of the shops (welding, Foundary, Machines shop etc) related to repair and maintenance work.<\/li>\n
      10. Name of checking and Inspecting Instruments and their details. Quality controls measures taken.<\/li>\n
      11. Details of hadraulics\/pneumatic\/thermal units or appliances used if any.<\/li>\n
      12. Discripton of any breakdown and its restoring.<\/li>\n
      13. Use of computer – if any.<\/li>\n
      14. Visit of units store, Manner of keeping store items, Their receiving & distribution.<\/li>\n
      15. Safety measures on work place & working conditions in general – comfortable, convenient & hygeinic.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
