Unit II<\/h4>\n

Introduction & study of accelerators, retarders, water reducers, air entrainers, water proofers, super plasticizers. Study of supplementary cementing materials like fly ash, silica fume, ground granulated blast furnace slag, metakaoline and pozzolana; their production, properties and effect on concrete properties .\n<\/p>\n

Unit III<\/h4>\n

Principle of mix proportioning, properties related to mix design, Mix design method (IS method and ACI method). Mix design of concrete: packing density, Rheology, mix design examples.\n<\/p>\n

Unit IV<\/h4>\n
