The detail syllabus for universal human values is as follows.<\/p>\n<p><h4>Course Objectives:<\/h4>\n<p>This introductory course input is intended<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>To help the students appreciate the essential complementarily between &#8216;VALUES&#8217; and &#8216;SKILLS&#8217; to ensure sustained happiness and prosperity, which are the core aspirations of all human beings<\/li>\n<li>To facilitate the development of a Holistic perspective among students towards life and profession as well as towards happiness and prosperity based on a correct understanding of the Human reality and the rest of Existence. Such a holistic perspective forms the basis of Human Values and movement towards valuebased living in a natural way<\/li>\n<li>To highlight plausible implications of such a Holistic understanding in terms of ethical human conduct, trustful and mutually fulfilling human behavior and mutually enriching interaction with Nature<\/li>\n<p>Thus, this course is intended to provide a much needed orientational input in value education to the young enquiring minds.\n<\/ol>\n<\/p>\n<p><h4>Course Methodology<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>The methodology of this course is explorational and thus universally adaptable. It involves a systematic and rational study of the human being vis-a-vis the rest of existence.<\/li>\n<li>It is free from any dogma or value prescriptions.<\/li>\n<li>It is a process of self-investigation and self-exploration, and not of giving sermons. Harmony in Myself!<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Understanding human being as a co-existence of the sentient I&#8217; and the material the Body&#8217;<\/li>\n<li>Understanding the needs of Self (I&#8217;) and Body&#8217; &#8211; Sukh and Suvidha<\/li>\n<li>Understanding the Body as an instrument of I&#8217; (I being the doer, seer and enjoyer)<\/li>\n<li>Understanding the characteristics and activities of I&#8217; and harmony in I&#8217;<\/li>\n<li>Understanding the harmony of I with the Body: Sanyam and Swasthya; the basic unit of human interaction<\/li>\n<li>Understanding values in human-human relationship; meaning of Nyaya and program for its fulfillment to ensure Ubhay-tripti; a Trust (Vishwas) and Respect (Samman) as the foundational values of relationship<\/li>\n<li>Understanding the meaning of Vishwas;
