Note<\/h4>\n

Four weeks structured and supervised, branch specific, task oriented
\nindustrial\/field exposure to be organised After IV Semester.
\nStudent will submit a report. There will be 60 marks for this exposure.
\nThese marks will be awarded by project examiner in the VI Semester (Examination marks : 40, Sess. marks : 20 ).\n<\/p>\n

Field Exposure<\/h4>\n

Just after the end of second year examination all the
\nstudents will go for an industrial training for 4 weeks. It
\nwill be organised and supervised by the institution staff.
\nPreferably govt. organisations like Doordarshan, AIR,
\nTelephone, Post & Telegraph departments & Govt. undertakings e.g UPTRON, I.T.I., B.E.L., H.A.L., C.E.L., be chosen for
\nthe training. Medium & small scale private industries may
\nalso be adopted for the training.
\nTraining unit should in no way be less than a small
\nscale industry so that the student may get training on
\ndifferent stages of production, testing quality control and
\nassurance.
\nThe training report submitted by the student should
\ncontain the following points applicable according to
\nindustry.<\/p>\n

  1. Name & Address of the organisation<\/li>\n
  2. Nature of the industry and its activity.<\/li>\n
  3. Date of<\/li>\n
      \n
    1. Joining<\/li>\n
    2. Leaving<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
    3. Details of the sections of the industry visited.<\/li>\n
        \n
      1. Name of tools, equipments instruments in use.<\/li>\n
      2. Activities of the section<\/li>\n
      3. Study of the components, devices used in complete assemblies.<\/li>\n
      4. Soldering and de-soldering techniques used in circuit fabrication.<\/li>\n
      5. Study of PCB Lay out developing and preparation.<\/li>\n
      6. Checking and testing of the components used.<\/li>\n
      7. Final checking of the product.<\/li>\n
      8. Discription of quality control measures taken in industry.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
      9. Study and aquaintance with transmission unit used in AIR, Doordarshan and other service organisation.<\/li>\n

        1. Discription of faults occuring usually and their remadies.<\/li>\n
        2. Periodic maintenance schedule.<\/li>\n
        3. Major maintenance points in the unit.<\/li>\n
        4. Preventive Maintenance steps taken.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n
