GLASS AND ENMAL LAB
A. GLASS PRACTICALS:
- Compounding of glass batches.
- Melting of simple coloured glasses.
- Simple decoration processes e.g. etching, silvering staining, sand-blasting, lustering, cutting and polishing.
- Sieve analysis of glass sand.
- Density of glass by float and sink method.
B. ENAMEL PRACTICALS:
- Cleaning and pickling of small mild steel plates for enamelling.
- Preparation of frit and its application for making sign paltes.
- Firing and fusion of applied enamel.
