Rationale:

The diploma holders have to perform variety of activities when employed in the State Electricity Board, N.T.P.C., N.H.P.C, N.P.C., etc. in the field of generation, transmission and distribution of the electrical power.   3. Hydro-Electric Power Plant :
  4. Plant layout and working of various elements, Hydrology and hydrograph, flow duration curves, Types of hydrograph plants and their use, Water turbines, Automatic and remote control of power plants, —– Head water control and Penstocks, Pumped storage plant.

  5. Nuclear Power Plant :
  6. Plant layout and working of various elements. Fuels, Classification of nuclear power stations. Types of nuclear reactor, Coolants.

  7. Other Plants :
  8. Plant layout and working of various elements of gas turbine plant, Open and closed cycle plants, Fuel and Fuel systems.
