FIELD EXPOSURE – II

After IV exam. in the students of Plastic & Mould Technology will have a
four week Industrial Training in units not less than small scale industries. It
should preferably be arranged in manufacturing (producing moulds, plastic products
or their parts), processing organizations. They will work and focus their
attention on following points to incorporate them in their reports.

1. Name & Address of the unit
2. Date of
1. Joining.
2. Leaving.
3. Nature of Industry
1. Product.
2. Services.
3. Working Hrs.
4. Sections of the unit visited and activities there in.
5. Details of machines/Tools & instruments used in working in the section of the unit visited.
6. Work procedure in the section visited.
7. Specifications of the product of the section and materials used.
8. Work of repair and maintenance cell.
9. Details of the shops
10. Name of checking and Inspecting Instruments and their details. Quality controls measures taken.
11. Details of hydraulics/pneumatic/thermal units or appliances used if any.
12. Description of any breakdown and its restoring.
13. Use of computer
14. Visit of units store, Manner of keeping store items, Their receiving & distribution.
15. Safety measures on work place & working conditions in general – comfortable, convenient & hygienic.
