Course Outcomes:

Upon the completion of the course, the student will be able to:

  1. Describe conduction and breakdown phenomenon in gases, liquid dielectrics and solid dielectrics.
  2. Explain generation of high voltages and currents
  3. Explain measurement techniques for high voltages and currents
  4. Describe overvoltage phenomenon and insulation coordination in electric power systems.
