<p>4 weeks structured and supervised, branch specific, task oriented<br />
Industrial/field exposure to be organised during summer vacation.<br />
Student will submit a report. There will be 150 marks for this<br />
exposure. These marks will be awarded by project examiner in the final year (Examination Marks : 100, Sessional Marks : 50).

<p><h4>FIELD EXPOSURE</h4>
<p>Student have to go for a industrial training of 4 weeks in a chemical industry under the guidance of their H.O.D. The student will submit a industrial training report which will be scrutinized and examined by the external examiner appointed by the B.T.E. There will be viva voce of 100 marks and sessional marks 50</p>
<p><b>TRAINING SCHEDULE</b></p>
<p>Four weeks structured supervised branch specific, task oriented Industrial Training to be organised during summer vacation after IInd year examination. The student during the industrial training must under take training in at least any one of the following and submit the training report in the format given at Annexure-I &amp; II.</p>
<p><b>1. OPERATION OF CHEMICAL PLANT:</b></p>
<p>Operation of chemical plant, Process control, Management of labour, Material and utility, Safety of workers and equipments.</p>
<p><b>2. CHEMICAL ANALYSIS:</b></p>
<p>Analysis of sample, Interpretation of results of analysis.</p>
<p><b>3. ERECTION &amp; COMMISSIONING OF CHEMICAL PLANT:</b></p>
<p>Reading and inter-preting the skeches, drawings, layout, planning etc. Erection of chemical plants, Commisioning of chemical plants.</p>
<p><b>4. INSPECTION &amp; TESTING OF CHEMICAL EQUIPMENT:</b></p>
<p>Inspection, testing and performance of individual equipment, Fault finding or trouble shooting and its rectification.

<p><h4>Rationale:</h4>
<p>Every diploma holder have to do a project work before going into the world of work so that he may have sufficient knowledge to face the various problems involved in solving the project. Chemical engineering technician must be well aware of these too. So the project on the design of pressure vessel, storage tanks, heat exchanger, distillation column and evaporator are included in the subject.<br />
Every Students is supposed to design one of the following problems alloted by Head of Deptt. and prepare the complete Project Report. The viva &#8211; voce will be conducted by the external examiner appointed by the board of Technical Education for the purpose.<br />
The Students should be acquinted with the various codes and standards and the requirements of inspection and safety.</p>
