<p><h4>Important Notes</h4>
<ol>
<li>This criteria must be followed by the internal and external examiner and they should see the daily, weekly and monthly reports while awarding marks as per the above criteria.</li>
<li>The criteria for evaluation of the students have been worked out for 200 maximum marks. The internal and external examiners will evaluate students separately and give marks as per the study and evaluation scheme of examination.</li>
<li>The external examiner, preferably, a person from industry/organization, who has been associated with the project-oriented professional training of the students, should evaluate the students performance as per the above criteria.</li>
<li>It is also proposed that two students or two projects which are rated best be given merit certificate at the time of annual day of the institute. It would be better if specific nearby industries are approached for instituting such awards.</li>
</ol>
<p>The teachers are free to evolve other criteria of assessment, depending upon the type of project work.<br />

It is proposed that the institute may organize an annual exhibition of the project work

<p><h4>Rationale:</h4>
<p>All equipment, installations, circuits and other electrical and electronic systems in commercial, power and industrial sector need drawings for their manufacturing, installation, operation and maintenance. A diploma holder in Electrical Engineering must possess the skill of reading, interpreting different drawings and simulating electrical and electronics circuits for most of the activities. With the evolution of various computer softwares, the conventional role of draftsman has been is now taken over by Computer software. Computer Aided Drawing (CAD) and simulation (MATLAB/SIMULINK) software will be used to perform various practical exercises in this course. This will enable the students to become competent to function in the fast growing information technology environment by enhancing their computer aided drawing, designing and simulating skills in the field of electrical and electronics engineering.
