Sir is direct phd after btech from iit gandhinagar valuable and what are the career after completion of phd from the same because most of the engg colleges are asking for post graduate degree for assistant professor so are direct phd students eligible for the same

I have given gate (CE) this year (2017) and expecting 50.03/100. Will I be able to get a DIRECT PhD seat in old IITs???
Next I am thinking of post doc program because I won’t be having a master’s degree. Is this a wise decision????

I have 3.5 years experience in machine learning with MNC. I’m 2013 batch pass out B.Tech with CSE (65.70%).

Now I want to pursue PHD in Machine Learning. There is any way to go for PHD or M.tech is good?

Hi I have done my Masters from Anna Univ , CEG with 7.8 CGPA & Currently I have applied for part time Phd (Non – HTRA Scheme )@ IIT madras.I have got my test/interview schedule.I have an Industrial Exp of 5 years.Now I currently wish to pursue my research in full time under HTRA scheme . Is it possible to express our views during interviews & change accordingly??I would also like to know about the filtration process in written test

In reply to suresh. Only possibility for direct admission to PhD in IITs is either to have an M.Tech degree or qualify GATE.

Hi,

I have completed B.Tech in ECE in 2010 then worked for 3 years as Software Engineer.I came to states and completed Masters (Management in Information Systems) in 2013.I have been working here since.But i am passionate to do PHD in Mathematics (It can be anywhere not specific to any country).Is it possible for me to do that or do i have to do any courses before applying for PHD?

Sir, I did BE nd I feel to do Ph.D after my BE soooooo plz tel me the procedure for that and currently am working in research center as a Research Engineer from past 8 Months and I published two journals and still 8 projects is going on now tel sir is these possible to get chance in IIT and I have 67% In BE with no backlogs no year back nd am not Qualified in GATE .
