    Overview and classification of survey 1.1\tSurvey – Reading of survey Maps, understanding of features and undulations of Ground purpose and use principles of surveying, definitions, units, scales, symbols and instruments used in Surveying, common errors in surveying and their corrections. 1.2\tTypes of surveying primary and secondary classification. Plane, geodetic, Cadastral, hydro graphic, photogrammetry, aerial, layout survey, control survey, topographical survey, route survey, reconnaissance survey. 1.3\tScales: Engineers scale, RF and diagonal scale. 1.4\tStudy of landforms, topography and contours, slope analysis, grading process; graphic representations of landforms.\n<\/p>\n

Components of dumpy level and its fundamental axes. Temporary adjustment of levels. 3.3\tTypes of leveling staff, self-reading staff and target staff. 3.4\tCalculation of levels using Height of Instrument, Rise and Fall Method. 3.5\tIntroduction to contour plan of hills, valleys and sloping terrain. 3.6\tPlotting of contours using appropriate contour intervals as required for an architectural project on sloping ground.\n<\/p>\n
