Strain energy and resilience: Load deflection diagram, strain energy, proof resilience, stresses due to gradual, sudden and impact loadings, shear resilience, strain energy in terms of principal stresses.<\/p>\n<h4>Unit 3<\/h4>\n<p>  <strong>Combined Stresses<\/strong><br \/>\n  Combined axial and flexural loads, middle third rule, kernel of a section, load applied off the axes of symmetry.
