At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Classify various machine tools and estimate machining time.
  • Calculate the cutting forces in orthogonal and oblique cutting.
  • Evaluate the machinability of materials.
  • Identify the abrasive processes.
  • Classify the different precision machining processes.
  • Design jigs and fixtures for given application.
