At the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Define measurement error and identify data analysis methods.
  • Select suitable techniques for measurement of thermo-mechanical properties.
  • Identify techniques to measure geometrical form of component and related instruments.
  • Define and interpret limits, fits and tolerances in metrology.
  • Outline the process and instruments for surface roughness measurement.
  • Select suitable inspection method and quality control techniques for production.

Measurement of Thermo-Mechanical Properties
