- Design machine tool structures for conventional and CNC machines.
- Design and analyze system for specified speeds and feeds.
- Understand control strategies for machine tool operations.
- Design of rotary and linear drive for machine tools.
- Analyze machine tool structure for design accuracy.

Introduction
Kinematics of different types of machine tools, selection of cutting conditions and tools, calculations of cutting force on single point and multipoint tools, hole machining, calculation of power, accuracy requirements and standards.

Design of Feed Drives

Control Elements
