Course Outcomes:
At the end of the course, learners should be able to;
- Learners develop ability to operate flexography machine.
- Learners acquire skills to handle trouble shoot on flexography presses.
Term Work: (Comprises both List of Practicals & Assignments)
List of Practicals / Experiments (Minimum 10)
- Introduction to construction and features of flexographic unit. 3 Hrs
- Understanding design and working of tension control elements of Flexographic web threading path. 3 Hrs
- Flexographic Plate Mounting with varying plate dimensions, adhesive strength and repeat length. 3 Hrs
- Setting up of single and multicolour flexographic press for printing. 3 Hrs
- To print single colour job on given absorbent stock and analyze print quality. 3 Hrs
- To print single colour job on given non-absorbent stock and analyze print quality. 3 Hrs
- To study tension setting on flexographic machine. 3 Hrs
- To analyze effect of anilox & fountain roller pressure on print. 3 Hrs
- To analyze effect of flexographic inks on print. 3 Hrs
- To print two color job on absorbent stock and analyze print quality. 3 Hrs
- To print two color job on non-absorbent stock and analyze print quality. 3 Hrs
Assignments:
Minimum two assignments to be given on the working of flexographic machine covering various process parameters. (Note: Preferably the assignments shall be given on the basis of live problems) Oral Examination: To gauge the understanding of the subject, an oral examination will be conducted at the end of the term for 25 marks.
