- Prepare a process sheet
- Prepare a Gantt Chart
- Forecast the demand of the product and prepare an aggregate plan.
- Perform ABC analysis of a given problem
- Develop the skills of Inventory Management and cost effectiveness.
- Create a logical approach to Line Balancing for various production systems.
Term work The Term work shall comprise of the following: At least six laboratory exercises/assignments comprising questions/problems

- Preparation of a Process sheet of a simple turned/milled component
- Numerical example on Johnsons Algorithm
- An example on network crashing
- Preparation of a Gantt Chart
- A real life example on ABC analysis
- An example on MRP for planned released orders
- An example on line balancing
- Preparation of organization charts with functional relationship for any SME.
Project Based Learning may be incorporated by judiciously reducing number of laboratory exercises The distribution of marks for term work shall be as follows:
- Lab work/assignments/exercise : 20 marks
- Attendance : 05 marks
Practical/Oral examination
- Each student will be given a small task based on laboratory excercises, which will be assessed by pair of examiners during the oral examination.
- Distribution of marks for practical-oral examination shall be as follows:Excercise: 15 marks Oral: 10 marks
- Evaluation of practical/oral examination to be done based on the performance of design task
- Students work along with evaluation report to be preserved till the next examination
