Unit I
crystallography and X -rays: crystalline and amorphous solids, crystal structure , Lattice point, space lattice, unit cells, lattice parameter and crystal systems, cubic system, number of atoms per unit cell, co-ordination number, atomic radius, packing density, Lattice constant. Lattice plane and Miller Indices, Interpalnner spacing for cubic system, Production and types of x-rays spectrum, x-ray diffraction, Braggs law, Moseleys law
