- Determination of radius of curvature of a lens using Newtons ring set up
- Determination of diameter of wire/hair or thickness of paper using Wedge shape film method.
- Study of Miller Indices.
- Study of Hall Effect.
- Determination of energy band gap of semiconductor.
- Study of Zener diode as voltage regulator.
- Study of I/V characteristics of LED
- Determination of h using Photo cell.
- Study of I / V characteristics of semiconductor diode
- Charging and discharging characteristics of supercapacitor.
- Simulation study of orientational ordering in Nematic like 2D liquid crystal.
- Simulation experiments based on engineering materials using open source simulation softwares like Avogadro, Chimera, JMOL etc.
The distribution of marks for term work shall be as follows:
- Laboratory work (Experiments and Journal) : 10 marks
- Project Groupwise (Topic Presentation) : 10 marks
- Attendance (Theory and Tutorial) : 05 marks
The final certification and acceptance of TW ensures the satisfactory performance of laboratory work and minimum passing in the TW.
