At the end of the course, students will be able to

  • Define condition monitoring and classify its techniques.
  • Classify various sensors and their principles in manufacturing.
  • Illustrate the use of force, vibration, sound and ANN for condition monitoring.
  • Outline the principle of acoustic emission and its applications for CM.
  • Demonstrate the use of sensors in metal working processes.
  • Identify sensors for TCM of CNC machines.
